Overview:

ERHA Central Semarang is a beauty clinic with a different approach to design. We call it a showcase because beauty clinics tend to be closed and exclusive, while this building is designed to be more open, inclusive, ad welcoming.

Located along a busy one-way street, the site was surrounded by closed fences and dense trees. We responded by removing the boundary between the public city and the site, replacing it with landscape and open circulation. The building is oriented toward the main street, with the raised display area becoming a visible showcase from the street. The open landscape then creates a sense of surprise, opening up the otherwise dense surroundings.
